Nehemia Gordon, a former Pharisee who holds a degree in Biblical Studies and Archaeology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was raised in an orthodox Jewish family and seriously questioned the rabbinic customs and traditions innlight of his study of the Bible. He became a Karaite Jew, a “Hebrew Scripturalist” who holds fast to the Kara, the entire Hebrew Old Testament. Although he is not a Christian, he is an exceptionally gifted scholar and teacher who was unusually open to discussing with a Christian the meaning of a passage in Matthew, Chapter 23 about Moses seat.
The following lecture while quite lengthy is well worth our attention. You’ll want to have your Bible, a pen and paper out to take notes as he leads you in an illuminating journey through this passage from his own experience of what Pharisees believe.
Also be encouraged by his faithful handling of the Word of God and discovery of Shem Tov, a Hebrew copy of the Book of Matthew.
You will learn what a Hebew pun is and how Pharisees think and how a Karaite sincerely approaches the Word of God. His exposition sheds much valuable light on our Messiah Yeshua as he discusses exactly what was being discussed by Yeshua (Hebrew name of Jesus, the Greek translation) when He was interfacing with the Pharisees of His day.
Nehemia Gordon is a truthseeker who leaves no stone unturned, is provocative and a sincere teacher without guile.

The late Chuck Missler takes a close look at Genesis 6:1-2: “Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, that the sons of God (Ben Ha Elohim=angels) saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose.”
Lesson. Open your Bible to the passage and listen as Scourby reads and when he comes to a name you don’t know how to pronounce, recite out loud during the reading in order to assist you to properly pronounce Biblical names and places. Although your version may slightly differ from the King James Version, you will at least begin to improve your skill at pronouncing Biblical words properly.
