“How the Bible of Jesus Defines Character”

Professor Marvin Wilson teaches at Gordon College, located 25 miles north of Boston, Massachusetts and in this sermon talks about the righteous man and the righteous woman. He is the author of Our Father Abraham: Jewish Roots of the Christian Faith and teaches from a Biblical Classic model focusing on values, ideals and ethical precepts and living a righteous life, one which is applied in real life situations. In this session he talks about the Righteous man and the characteristics found in Psalm 112. A good man is one who can take adversity, who is a pillars in his own community and family and can bless God as did Job and Abraham. He is benevolent, lends freely and is generous. A man who has a steadfast heart in spite of circumstances which come and go. Our ultimate security  rests with Christ who triumphed over death.  A generous man who scatters one’s gifts to the poor. who delights in God’s teaching, not an obligation. Such a model is Marvin Wilson.

He also shares what it is to be a righteous women as portrayed in Proverbs 31.
