Pastor MacArthur does an exceptional service in expositing the Divine story of the Book of Esther. He begins by providing us with the historical setting of the Persian Empire at the time this event occurs. He then carefully describes those who are involved in this dramatic scene, the historic origin of their tribal feud, and guides us through the unfolding story with the masterful art of historian, theologian, and storyteller. His final conclusion takes us even higher to the Divine architecture of God as Yahweh weaves an intricate tapestry over the ages all the way back to the Book of Samuel and takes us forward to the final consummation of all things in the preservation of the Davidic line of the Messiah, Christ Jesus.
