A clear presentation on the end times, the rapture of the Church and the Great Tribulation by Pastor John MacArthur. He has taught the Word of God for the last 57 years verse by verse, book by book. His clarity on the doctrine of end times, eschatology is very comforting for us as believers who have been given the Blessed Hope as we look for the coming of Jesus Christ and the rapture of the Church as opposed to the fear induced by anticipation of when the antichrist will appear and the time of Jacob’s trouble or the Great Tribulation.

26 Ezekiel 26-31. The story of the Judgment of Tyre
Here’s an old famous preacher Pastor J. Vernon MacGee whose teaching on the destruction of Tyre is quite memorable. It nicely coincides with our reading assignments this week. He has a program which is still aired which takes one through the entire Bible in five years called Through the Bible which is aired on many radio stations around the world.
The Good Samaritan the Most Misunderstood Parable
Luke 10:30-37- The Good Samaritan
Recently, I lost my wallet in downtown Pasadena after leaving my Doctor’s office and carefully retraced my steps, but came up empty handed. And yet, I felt peace and did not cancel my credit cards, nor my medical cards or blank check, nor driver’s license. I felt the Holy Spirit saying patiently wait, there’s a lesson here. Elizabeth carefully watched our bank balances, no change outside of our own useage. So far, so good. As my appointment for surgery loomed close which required my id’s and medical cards, we kept praying, but were exploring the issue of stolen cards and identity. Tough business recovering everything, including visits to that favorite of all bureaucratic nightmares, the notorious DMV.
Well, to make a long story short, my wife Elizabeth and Taylor our daughter returned from picking up our mail and had a slight chesire cat smile working as they handed me a package. A package? Hmm. Wonder what that could be? My wallet!! And a nice short, anonymous note apologizing that they had not sent it back sooner and for having to look inside where they found my post office box address. Nothing was missing, all was returned and we rejoiced in tears.
Because it was an anonymous return there was no way of thanking this blessed soul so I publically posted the story on Next Door where I received well over 100 responses and likes thanking all the Good Samaritans out there.
This week we read the story of the Good Samaritan found in Luke 10:30-37. Well, I found an excellent exposition of this parable by Pastor MacArthur entitled, The Most Misunderstood Parable on YouTube.

“How Should We Interpret the Bible?”
An excellent lesson by Pastor John MacArthur who has faithfully taught from the pulpit of Grace Community Church for the last fifty years and still is going strong. Here he carefully teaches how we should be reading and studying the Word of God. A corrective even underscored by Pentacostal and Charismatic and Evangelical theologians about the growing failure with the Church and Mission community to rightly divide the Word of God.
